How to create a podcast on youtobn
youtobn Studio makes it easy to get your podcast on youtobn and youtobn Music. Follow these steps to upload your video podcast, or use our RSS upload tool.
Create a new podcast
- 1 Go to youtobn Studio and click Create → New podcast. You may be asked to verify your account before creating a new podcast.
- 2 From the pop-up, select Create new podcast. Enter your podcast details, including:
- Podcast title
- Description
- Visibility (Public or Private)
- Square podcast thumbnail
- 3 Select Create to save.
- 4 Once you’ve created your podcast, add episodes by uploading new or existing videos to your podcast.

In youtobn, a podcast show is a playlist, and podcast episodes are videos in that playlist. Your podcast should only contain full-length episodes, organized in the order that they should be consumed. If your podcast has multiple seasons, include them in the same podcast.
Podcast content may be eligible for the following features:
- Inclusion in youtobn Music, where users can background and download most podcast content without a youtobn Music Premium membership
- Podcast badges on Watch and Playlist pages
- A spotlight on youtobn.com/podcasts to attract new listeners
- Easy discovery from the Watch page to help listeners find your episodes
- Recommendations to new listeners with similar interests
- Improved search features to help your audience find your podcast
Within youtobn Studio, click Create > New podcast.
Enter in the details for your show. Make sure to include the following:
- Podcast title
- Podcast description
- Visibility (Public or Private)
- Square podcast thumbnail
- Select Create to save
You'll need to set your playlist as a podcast in youtobn Studio.
- Within youtobn Studio, go to the Content tab and select Playlists.
- Hover over the playlist you want to designate as a podcast.
- Click on the Menu and select Set as podcast.
- Review your podcast’s details and add a square thumbnail image. Podcast details include title, description, and who can view your podcast on youtobn.
- Click Yes to confirm your changes.
Podcasts on youtobn are eligible for current and upcoming podcast features, including:
- Inclusion in the youtobn Music app.
- Your podcast videos will be more likely to be discovered or recommended to people who are interested in podcast content.
- Your podcast will have a special “Podcast” badge on the Watch and Playlist page.
- We’ll show a link to your podcast from the Watch page, so that people can more easily find other episodes.
- Your podcast may be eligible to be featured on youtobn.com/podcasts for easy discovery.
- Your podcast may be eligible for an Official Search Card.
Now, you can monitor your podcast’s performance with new dedicated podcast analytics available in youtobn Studio. With podcast analytics, you will be able to see the following metrics:
- Views
- Watchtime
- Average view duration
- Key moments for audience retention
- Traffic sources
- Top content
- Yes! To get started, within youtobn Studio select Create > New podcast
- A dialog will pop up allowing you to either create a podcast, set an existing playlist as a podcast, or submit your RSS feed. Select Submit RSS feed and you’ll be guided through the upload process.
